Oryx finalizes exclusive Qatar agreement with UK-based high pressure pump experts, Calder Limited

Oryx Energy Projects & Services (Oryx) signed an agreement on July 27 2009 with Calder Limited (Calder), which formalizes a new relationship between the two companies.
In signing this agreement, Oryx marked another significant development in the expansion of the added value services they offer to the Qatari oil and gas industry.

As Calder’s exclusive representative and agent for the development of their business in the state of Qatar, Oryx is now responsible for all aspects of Calder’s Qatari activities, including servicing and maintaining their equipment and the supply of spare parts.

The agreement includes responsibility for the full range of Hammelmann high pressure pumps and associated accessories, for which Calder has sales and marketing responsibility throughout the Middle East. Hammelmann (www.hammelmann.de) are acknowledged pioneers in the manufacture of high pressure pumps operating at discharge pressures of up to 4000 bar (58,000 PSI).

Calder is recognized as one of the leading suppliers of high pressure and ultra high pressure pumping equipment for the oil and gas and general industrial sectors, with a range of equipment capable of producing pressures of up to 4,000 bar (58,000 PSI).

Applications include: 
  • High and ultra high pressure water jetting pumps and accessories for petrochemical, civil engineering and offshore waterblast applications.
  • Hermetically sealed ‘zero leakage‘ process pumps for chemical injection, methanol, MEG and scale inhibitors.
  • Produced water, sea water, condensate, LNG and CO² injection.
  • Cuttings re-injection and waste injection pumps used for high pressure disposal of drill cuttings and Norm scales at pressures of up to 1000 bar (14,500 PSI)
  • Well service and cementing pumping equipment for fracturing, acidising, pressure testing, coiled tubing.
  • Pipeline pressure testing and pigging.
